Host Program
Tourism Swift Current is responsible for the distribution of Host Program funding for the City of Swift Current. The program provides funding support for annual events that attract overnight visitors to the community. All funding applications for 2010 events must be submitted in writing to Tourism Swift Current by June 30, 2010. The hosting organization must be a non-profit group, and applications for funding may only be submitted once annually per organization. Funds are available on a budget allotment basis, and all applications are subject to Board of Directors approval. The application form is available below.

Special Projects
Funding for 2010 special projects is available to assist in the promotion and development of new events within Swift Current. Funding for new Special Projects programs is a maximum of $1,000.00. Funding for the second year of a program is a maximum of $500.00. Deadline for applications is June 30, 2010. Late applications will be accepted pending available funds. The hosting organization must be a non-profit group, and request for funding may only be submitted once annually per organization. Funds are available on a budget allotment, and all applications are subject to Board of Directors approval. The application form is available below.

Ambassador Workshops
In conjunction with Tourism Awareness Week, June 6th to 12th, 2010, Tourism Swift Current, together with Southwest Tourism and the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council will be holding a week of Ambassador Workshops.
The workshops are two hours in length and will be offered each day of the week to accommodate various work schedules. All classes are held at the Swift Current Museum and Visitor Centre.
Registration is open to all businesses and organizations who wish to participate. As an employee’s time is considered to be an investment in the program, there will be no charge or fee for attending any of the classes.
The Ambassador Workshops were introduced as a pilot project in 2006, and are now offered as an annual program. The 2010 Ambassador Workshop schedule and registration form is available below.
